LogixPartners staff has been involved in healthcare and benefit plan management since 1991. We are exclusively focused on managing the content and process improvement associated with benefit plans. Our prior experience is that enormous value can be gained by reducing errors and rework associated with incomplete and inaccurate benefit plan information.
LogixPartners was formed as a vehicle for bringing to market a third generation benefit plan management system, PlanLogix. LogixPartners is a self-funded startup. We have been incorporated for three years.
The LogixPartners principals have built two previous bnefit plan management systems as work-for-hire projects meaning that the resulting applications were not our property. The first system was built for CIGNA in 1991. This system is still in production today at CIGNA and manages over 160,000 benefit plans. The CIGNA application is call Benefit Access. We built a second-generation system for Prudential Healthcare in 1995. This was also a work-for-hire system. The project was complete just prior to the merger with Aetna. It does not appear that Aetna ever put that version into production.
Our experiences with both CIGNA and Prudential involved large, national companies involved in complex insured and ASO plans that spanned multiple jurisdictions. We are experts at complex information management issues such businesses encounter.
The current system, PlanLogix is a wholly new design, based upon refinement of approaches derived from past experiences and employing current technologies. PlanLogix is a completely new implementation and has not brought any source code forward from past works. LogixPartners is the sole owner of all intellectual property and source code.
