The Benefit Engineer maintains the PlanLogix Library where all the benefit plans, provider contracts, and underlying components are kept. The Benefit Engineer ensures that all PlanLogix components are correct and fulfill the information needs of all down stream processes.
The Benefit Engineer works with product management and marketing to devise new product offerings using the PlanLogix workstation
Sales staff can bring the complete product library to the customer site, update customer specific plans and return then to the PlanLogix repository for processing. Business rules within PlanLogix will prevent invalid or undesirable benefit plans from being sold.
Underwriting is supported in two ways. First by working with the Benefit Engineer to implement business rules that enforce underwriting policies, and by presenting custom designed reports which assist the underwriting process.
Provider Relations can define all provider networks, provider contracts, rate schedules , and associated components. The provider contracts can be extracted for feeding to operational systems, used in reporting, and web-based inquiry.
The fulfillment processes can be highly optimized with PlanLogix. Each PlanLogix plan representation has all related information for quickly and correctly producing fulfillment materials.
All information needed by member and provider relations is contained within PlanLogix. When a plan or contract is updated within PlanLogix, the member and provider relations information can be immediately available.
Maintenance and renewals of benefit plans and provider contracts can be highly optimized with PlanLogix’ automated mantenance facilites.
